Intaglio - with a focus on the wonderful world of line quality and mark making using the safest intaglio materials and techniques available today. Baldwin Ink Grounds offer traditional results with less toxicity. BIG hard ground offers fantastic benefits over traditional grounds and do not use toxic materials for clean up. Traditional representational image development as well as abstract experimentation are encouraged in this course. Copper metal plates with traditional plate preparation and ink wiping techniques will be taught. If you have always wanted to try printmaking or have been away from it a while and want to get oriented to using the HP studio this is a perfect place to start. Convenient 5 pm - 8 pm evening class to accommodate our working artists.

Class supplies available for purchase in the HP studio. Copper plates, printmaking papers, and etching tools. You have the option to use your own or buy materials from HP. Supply list will be provided on enrollment.
