In this course participants will create a collagraph plate with various textures and mark making for endless tonal effects. Plates can be inked as relief, intaglio, or a combination. Experiment with different viscosities of inks and multi-drop printing. Participants are invited to bring found objects to incorporate into their plates.

About Sheila: Golobortoko was the HP 2022 Annual Exhibition Juror. She is a visiting artists at the University of Hawaii Manoa this winter. An experienced academic who thinks outside the box, Goloborotko is currently an Associate Professor of Printmaking at the University of North Florida. She is also the founder and director of Goloborotko’s Studio since 1989, a center for production and diffusion of printmaking whose principal goal is to encourage the voice and vision of individual artists in a nurturing environment that supports the creation of works that push the boundaries of printmaking.

Your class Includes 12 Hours of class instruction and unlimited studio time during of the 1 - month workshop during open studio hours.  Class fee Includes: Materials to create your collagraph plate, 1 piece of high quality printing paper, inks, tools and shop supplies.

Bring your note book, pencil, water, snacks and flat materials to glue to your collagraph plates.

$50 Fee will be taken for any class cancellations to cover our processing fees. No cancellations accepted 7 days before a class.
